About the islands

The Daymaniyat Islands are an arpeggio of nine islands, and is a protected area located 42 kilometers off the coast of Muscat in Oman. The reserve has a rich natural heritage with rare kinds of coral reefs, and is home to a large number of sea turtles that lay their eggs and nest there, as well as being a stop for migratory birds.

The Daymaniyat Islands are a group of nine uninhabited islands located off the coast of Oman, offering crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and a variety of marine life. As a designated natural reserve, the islands are home to over 20 species of coral and numerous fish species, including rare turtles and seabirds. The islands are also famous for their underwater beauty, making them a prime destination for snorkeling, diving, and sightseeing.

What to do at  Daymaniyat Islands

• Snorkeling and Diving: Explore the underwater world teeming with colorful coral reefs and abundant marine life. Swim with fish, discover hidden underwater caves, and encounter the majestic green sea turtles.


• Wildlife : You can find rare birds and a plethora of marine life. You may also spot dolphins, whale sharks and migratory seabirds nesting on the islands.


• Beaches: Relax on the serene, unspoiled beaches of the islands. Ideal for sunbathing, picnics, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

• Camping: camping season begins on November 1st until April 30th.
